We have a subnet of 5 public IP's.
One is used for the main internet traffic.
We run on online proofing system, which I would like to use another public IP address purely just for this LAN connection.
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction of setting this up on my Draytek 2960 please?

We utilize a redundant Vigor 2920 as a WAP for our internal network.
We also have a Guest wifi network using a seperate Netgear WAP connecting to our backup adsl line.
We are now removing our backup adsl line, so would like to add the Guest wifi to the Draytek and have it handle both.
I have setup the vlans and Lan2 settings on a seperate subnet.
Our firewall on the internal network is the D.GW
I have maxed out the NIC's on the firewall so i cant add another interface in for a 10.0.0.0 network.
How can i make the Draytek do its routing with the vlans in place so the guest wifi network on 10.0.0.0 forwards its traffic to the firewall on our 192.168.1.0 network so it can get out onto the google machine?

I want to have a server hosted in local Data Centre for our DR/Backups. I'd like to have it connect reliably using RRAS back to my office to our Draytek 2830 on a LAN to LAN VPN. I know I could simply put another Draytek in the rack with the server but U's and power cost.
Anybody done it already and if so can you point me to some straight forward guides.

He has two braodband connections going into his house and wants a load balencer added to this to help with network speed

We have two Draytek Vigor 3900 firewalls installed in our two main offices (they're connected to each other via a IPSEC site-to-site VPN over EFM. These are working well, especially with their GlobalView Content Filtering - awesome stuff.
However, I'm having trouble with a feature than enables blocking incoming connection from certain countries by IP. I have been trying to block countries by IP because our RDP servers get, occasional, massive hits. I know, I know, what don't we change our RDP port - something for me to tackle in the future, but back to the point at hand...

Just wanted to see if anyone else had come across this but I'm having issues with a teleworker vpn client back to the 2860n.
I noticed speed drops and packet loss while connected from windows and ios devices so I ran wireshark and noticed a large amount of TCP re transmissions occurring.
I checked and the MTU on the WAN is 1472 which responds fine. I believe on drayteks the MSS value automatically configures based on the MTU.
Anyone else have issues like this with the draytek vpn?
Quick question for anyone that has set this kit up with both VDSL and WAN2 connections with BT Infinity. This is for a backup line or possibly load balancing.
I would like to know what the WAN2 (Ethernet) settings should be set to? There are lots of tuts for the VDSL only settings, but with both in use should WAN2 have the same config or different?

The ISP is using BGP and have given us a BGP password, is it possible to use PPPoE to connect?

Hi. I've had a problem a few days now where users on the main company networks (3 sites) cannot browse to a site www.aurignycam.com hosted with easyspace. One of the cameras is updated from within the network, and images
uploaded. At the moment this cannot happen as FTP also won't connect to the
server, hence the last camera appears to be stuck from ten days ago.
PCs at another site of ours works ok (BT service). My home PC works ok (same ISP as at work). Internal dns is ok, ping and tracert work ok. Easyspace have checked but cannot see our IPs
trying to connect. The local ISPs (Sure and JT in Guernsey, UK) have checked
also, and can see the site themselves (just as I can from home).
I have connected my phone to the visitors wifi, which is separate LAN (so not affected by internal DNS, etc)
but ultimately goes to same router as the main...
Hi guys we have 2 x 2860n units in an IPSec VPN and we need a PC at Site 2 to see certain UDP broadcast packets sent by a unit at site 1. All PCs at site 1 can see the broadcasts fine.
I've enabled "Multicast via VPN" but that hasnt helped...any ideas?

We're in the middle of replacing the network infrastructure for a small business centre. The client needs a router that can manage at least 38 VLANs and three WAN connections, and therefore opted for a Draytek Vigor 3900 router (quad WAN and supports up to 50 VLANs).
We did a proof of concept test with the 3900 using 7 VLANs, which all worked fine. However, when setting up the full 38 VLAN solution the router started having issues. When I reached about 20 VLANs, the management interface locked up and the router became unresponsive.
After a reboot (which took 7 minutes), the router was up and stable so I started adding some more VLANs. After adding 5 or 6 more the management interface locked up again. Rebooted again, waited 7 minutes, started adding some more VLANs. After adding 5 more, the same thing happened.

We have several 2860's out in the field and have setup 2 SSID's on all units - 1 on the 2.4GHz band and one on the 5GHz band. We do this to ensure older devices can use the 2.4GHz
On each network, now and again you cannot connect to the 5GHz network. It will appear as a visible network, you enter the correct key, but the connection never completes, it never gets to the point whereby an IP address is assigned to the device, its almost like the router just drops the attempted connection
The 2.4GHz always works
Anyone know of anything obvious as to why this would happen? We have set nothing special up on the security or SSID settings - all defaults
Encryption mode for both bands is Mixed (WPA/WPA2)/PSK

Hi All,
I have a client who has a leased line connection which I am trying to get working on a Draytek 2930.
The problem is when I plug in the leased line into WAN1 on the Draytek and setup the connection details ( ip address, subnet, gateway) it doesn't connect. There are no lights on the network adapter (WAN1), it seems that the Draytek cant see there is a connection there.
If I get my laptop and set the static IP address, subnet and gateway of the leased line I instantly have a internet connection so the line is definitely active.
I have also tried another Draytek with the same settings but I get the same issue.
Has anyone seen this before?
I'm looking at setting up a filter on our Draytek gateway router (2920) for our internal email server to only be accessible via a smarthost service I'm trialing.
Currently our router does not have the data filter enabled.
What is the default behaviour if I enable this? Will it block all or pass all traffic?
Do I need to configure all IP Objects and Groups for everything on my network that needs to connect to something on the WAN and filters associated to them and their traffic direction before enabling the data filter?
Finding this a bit confusing on the Draytek.

I need to get a copy of the dnsmasq.conf file for an ISP as we are getting an error in the Logs of the router saying dnsmasq exiting on receipt of SIGTERM. How can I get this file, I SSH'd onto the device but can see how to view it?
Context
BT fttc has been installed. New Draytek Vigor 2960 has been plugged in as BGP required.
The BGP is established and the WAN line comes up, after a period of around thirty seconds the WAN line drops with the error dnsmasq exiting on receipt of SIGTERM. The line goes through a reconnect process and sometimes does reconnect then exits with the same error?
Any help would be great?
Has anyone successfully setup a VPN from an IOS device since Apple dropped PPTP from the choices? I have not been able to get a dialin user to work with L2TP/IPSec or IKE yet.
